Secretly, however, Po dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master someday, but is stuck working as a waiter for the restaurant. Together, Po and Ping run a noodle restaurant in a Chinese area called the Valley of Peace.

As they charge to battle, Po is then awoken from his slumber by his father, a goose named Ping. He then finds the Furious 5, a group of Kung Fu masters each known for their own techniques, beside him. Po then unleashes his Kung Fu moves to vanquish the evil jackals and finds himself fighting with thousands more while skyrocketing into the air. In Po's dream, he walks into a store to eat, but encounters trouble in the form of jackals.

The story begins with a panda named Po, voiced by Jack Black, dreaming of himself as the Dragon Warrior. The film hit a box office of $631 million. Kung Fu Panda features a star-studded cast including Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, David Cross, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and Jack Black. The production was handled by Dream Works Animation and allocated by Paramount Pictures. To ensure the film's success in China, in addition to the English version, the Chinese version of the film will be also fully animated, making them the only versions that will have the characters' lips synchronized with their voices.Launched in 2008, Kung Fu Panda is a computer animated comedy film.

As a film with a co-production status in China, it will allow the production companies to circumvent the country's strict import quota and take a greater share of box-office revenue than imported films.

The filmmakers are working closely with SAPPRFT to assure the film's release in China. This is the first time that any major American animated feature film has been co-produced with a Chinese firm. One third of the film will be made in China, and the rest in the United States, at DWA. The film will be made as a co-production between DreamWorks Animation and Oriental DreamWorks, a Shanghai-based studio, founded in 2012 as a partnership between DreamWorks Animation and Chinese companies.
